The Research Cell of Bahria University College of Medicine organized a seminar titled “Publishing in Top–Tier Journals: The Art and Science” on 20 May 2026 at the Meeting Room, Research Cell. The session was arranged for all Heads of Departments and faculty members with the objective of promoting high-quality scientific writing, effective research communication, and strategic journal selection for successful publication in internationally recognized journals. The seminar was moderated and coordinated by Dr. Aisha Nasir Hashmi and Dr. Fizzah Abid, Research Officers of the Research Cell.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Yasir Waheed, delivered an insightful talk on publishing in high-impact journals, manuscript development, citation impact, and enhancing research visibility. He is currently serving as Professor & HoD Research at NUST School of Health Sciences and has been recognized among the world’s Top 2% highly cited researchers from 2020–2025. His inspiring academic journey and practical guidance provided valuable learning opportunities for the participants.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion in which faculty members actively engaged with the speaker and gained practical insights into improving the quality, visibility, and impact of their research publications. The seminar proved to be highly informative and beneficial, further strengthening the culture of research excellence and academic collaboration within the institution.
